Mini Sudoku 4 × 4

A smaller puzzle for a first Sudoku or a short break.

Four digits, three rules

Use 1, 2, 3 and 4 once in every row, every column and each 2 × 2 box. A completed row such as 1, 3, 4, 2 is valid; the same digit cannot repeat.

Try a small deduction

If a row contains 1, 2 and 4, its empty cell must be 3. If a cell could be 2 or 3, inspect its column and box to eliminate a candidate. Guessing is unnecessary for the checked mini puzzles.

Build confidence

Select a cell and tap a number. Try notes before committing, and undo a mistaken input. Large display and relaxed play make the interface easier to read and remove time pressure. Mini practice does not count toward the standard Daily Trio.
